Teen Angst? By: Ned Vizzini
It's all about Cliques! Stuy's student body wasn't vicious; it was simply separated into distinct groups that hoarded goods, traveled as one, and ostracized others. This is something that my school can definitely relate to. We have the preppies, the jocks, the chess club, the band nerds(: we got it all! The category i can fit into would be the band nerds, even though it's not very nerdy at all. All it means is that we have talent that most people don't or will never be able to do! This part of the book is something any kid from any high school has to deal with. A clique is something you want to be in or are in. If your not in one then go join in one today!

ReplyDeleteMy parents have always tried to tell me that you dont need to have cliques in high school and that everyone should try to be nice to each other. Sometimes that isnt the way things are. It's important that everyone try to be united in some way even though it's a big school. I try to think of what my mom says to treat others how you want to be treated. Everyone should think about being like that.
